Why is the light on the front panel on my ProConnect NVR red

The front panel light of your recorder could change from white/blue to red for several reasons:

• The LED cable could be damaged or disconnected.
• Failed motherboard or CMOS.
• The system is getting stuck before it can start the boot process and can't access the software.

If the recorder is booting into the software and the front panel light is staying red then that means either the cable connecting the LED light to the panel has disconnected or the LEDs are going bad.

If the front panel is staying red but you're not seeing anything display on the screen, you can't access the software, and you don't hear a beep when booting up the unit then the issue is likely the motherboard or CMOS and the unit will need to be sent in for an evaluation.
