What is the maximum recording frame rate (frames per second) my recorder can support?
ProConnect software allows recording up to the maximum frame rate of the camera. For example, if a camera can record 20 fps, only 1-20 will be displayed in the Frames Per Second dropdown menu. However, all Network Video Recorders have an overall recording limit and increasing the frame rate of one camera will come at the expense of the others. In addition, maxing out the frame rate of all cameras will adversely affect remote viewing on mobile devices.
AvertX Cameras default at 15 fps, which provides very good video motion fluidity while providing up to twice the recording time of 30 fps. Most professionally installed surveillance systems run around 7-10fps to maximize storage while being high enough to see and record events.
