What are ProConnect NVR External Storage Solutions?
ProConnect NVRs are capable of exporting recorded footage to external digital/virtual sites and physical drives connected via USB. Nonetheless, due to data transfer speed differences and the large amount of data throughput between recording and retrieving live video streams (and audio, if applicable), we currently do not offer the ability to record Live streams to external storage, to include network-based storage solutions.
ProConnect NVRs can export .MP4 formatted video clips, limited to a maximum of four hour increments.
Larger volumes of recorded footage could also be exported in up to 24 hour increments with the Archive export feature. Files created by the Archive feature are compressed and encrypted which will allow for more data to be securely saved on the available storage device/networked location. Archive files are not exported to the AvertX Connect cloud service, and must be viewed through the AvertX Archive Viewer.
Normal exports (as .MP4) or Archive files can be exported through the Search menu directly at the ProConnect NVR console, or remotely through a web-browser. ProConnect NVRs can remotely export footage through a web-browser when connected to it via direct IP address (if on the same network as the NVR) or via the AvertX Connect cloud service.
