How to physically identify an AvertX NVR?
AvertX has various network video recorder (NVR) models. The Legacy recorder models are referred to as the P2A, P2B, Performance/Pro Series. The current platform is the ProConnect.
Go to the AvertX.com Support Downloads page to find the firmware and Support reference materials for the most common platforms:
1. ProConnect Summit recorders:
-- Latest model
-- Discreet physical footprint with less markings.
-- External power supply
-- Serial number can be accessed through the software or on a printed label on the side of the unit.
2. ProConnect A800(+) and A1600(+) recorders:
-- "ProConnect" on the front right-side of the recorder.
-- Serial number can be accessed through the software or on a printed label on the side of the unit.
-- Small case fan
-- Internal power supply
3. Performance/Pro Series recorders -- legacy:
-- "Performance Series or Pro Series" on the front right-side of the recorder.
-- Physically large with one large fan opening on the case.
-- Internal power supply fan.
-- Serial number is found on a printed label toward the back underneath the case.
-- Unit's MAC address found in the Info menu of the software can be used to find the serial number.
4. P2A/P2B recorders -- legacy:
-- "HDIP" is on the front right side of the recorder.
-- Physically large. One large fan (P2B model) and two large fan openings (P2A model -- oldest model) on the case.
-- Internal power supply fan.
-- Serial number is found on a printed label toward the back underneath the case.
-- Unit's MAC address found in the Info menu of the software can be used to find the serial number.
-- NOTE: P2B models were temporarily fielded in a 4-channel version with an external power supply, and a small case with an internal power supply.
