How do I activate a dormant or inactive auto-focus function on an Autofocus camera?

To activate a dormant autofocus, do the following:

1. Confirm that the product specifications show the camera's lens has an autofocus feature.  Fixed lens cameras do not have an autofocus feature.
2. Remotely connect to the ProConnect NVR via a web browser or via AvertX Connect.
3. Go to Setup > System Settings > Cameras > select the camera that is out of focus > confirm the box to enable the “PTZ/Autofocus” function is checked, Apply, and exit the camera setup.
   
   
4. Go to Live > and identify the camera that is out of focus.  Do either of the following actions to activate the camera’s Zoom and Autofocus function:
   
   -  Right-click on the camera and select Zoom In, and then Zoom Out.  
    
   -  Or, move the mouse cursor to the top of the display of the autofocus camera and at the top of the camera's display, click on the “+” button a few times, and then the “-“ button to de-zoom if desired.
   
   
5.  Either Zoom option activates the camera’s Zoom and Autofocus function.
